In America This Week

What a weekend!

The third Principles First Summit was a very special success that built on our previous Summits and again exceeded the expectations of our entirely volunteer organization. To everyone who helped by either organizing, attending, or just raising your voice in support online - thank you!

Check out the coverage of the Summit:With your help, we convened principled Americans from around the nation to focus on ideas and to articulate a principled vision for the country that celebrates the institutions that define America.

To get a sense of your impact, take a look at the Principles First Summit by the numbers:
  • 424 registrants from 42 states (both up from 2022)
  • 41 speakers
  • 10 substantive panels
  • 5 national media outlets covered the Summit
  • 100% volunteer-run (Thank you to all of our volunteer leaders!)
  • $0 spent on advertising
  • $45 per all-access ticket
  • Entire Summit hosted on a budget-neutral basis (again!)
The positive feedback we've received from attendees, from speakers, and from those who just heard of or followed the Summit from afar has been encouraging. It is clear that we desperately need the Summit and we are already making big plans for next year.

To those who have asked, we do have audio and video from the Summit - and will continue releasing clips of the panels and speeches via our TwitterFacebook and Instagram accounts over the coming weeks. For example, you can see Governor Hogan's Summit remarks here.
What's Next for Principles First and How You Can Help
  • The Principles First Summit will continue to be held annually as a preeminent gathering for principled Americans to rally in support of our shared ideas and articulate a better vision for the country. The Summit continues to grow and has already become an important event in the political discourse. This will continue to be a core pillar of what we do and we look forward to reconvening next year - so make plans to join us and help us spread the word!

  • Donate to help us amplify and scale the Summit. Principles First is entirely volunteer-run, but sustaining our current growth trajectory will require investment and amplification of our #PrinciplesFirst message. We are already setting ambitious goals for next year's Summit - and in order to go toe-to-toe with CPAC and Turning Point USA, we need funding. Please consider making a donation to fuel our growth in 2023.
Donate to Principles First
Our ranks are growing daily. Through our effort, we continue to show that there is an expanding group of Americans eager to see the status quo shift in a more principled direction.

Now is the time to act. Our country is in desperate need of leadership and the Principles First network is full of citizen-leaders that are already making a difference.  Donate, get involved, do whatever you can to help advance the cause. It is important, it is worthwhile, and it is making a difference.

As I said in my remarks at the Summit, we are still in the early innings of a long game - and we are not going anywhere. The GOP may think it can ignore us - and, when it comes to winning a primary, they may be right - for now. But, a GOP nominee cannot ignore us in a general election.

Principles First voters represent a growing and critical percentage of the US electorate and, if Republicans want to win the White House or swing-state Senate seats, they need our votes. That's just math - and democracy. And to even have a chance at winning our votes, they cannot nominate a candidate who denies our elections or wants to "terminate" the Constitution or undergo a "national divorce" or give parts of Ukraine to Russia. It's simple - and if we stand on these principles together, we will win.

Thank you for everything you continue to do to advance our principles and I look forward to seeing you at a Principles First event soon.
